Natalie was unwell since Friday, start coughing and vomiting because of her phlegm...Usually her cough is nocturnal, but since yesterday she has been coughing all day and was not eating much too..
This morning, she seems out of appetite again. When we were on our way to NTUC, she starts panting for breath, I realised she's very pale too.. So we went straight to the doctor, from there than I realised she's had a high fever!! She never complaint she's not feeling well and was always keeping to herself..I was thinking whether I was too fierce for her to confide in me....Or that she's looking forward to tomorrow Kid Amaze at Safra!!
Doc did not say much, just told me that she has got a little wheezing and high fever...Never even say whether she need a review later on or what to do and don't and what kind of medicine he's giving!! Nowadays good GP is really hard to find!!! Luckily I have got a little experience and know what are those medicines for, as I thought might give her a puff of Ventolin inhaler during the night...Since she used to be on inhaler when she's younger..
As for now, lots of rest and water to cool her down...She managed to take a few bites of her dinner and that's good....God bless her to recover soon!!

Natalie is sick
Frighten by Melody
Last week, Melody gave me a terrible fright by locking herself up in the room, after I asked her to clean up the mess she made while eating chips.. By the time I realise she's missing, its about an hr later, as I was attending to Ted and thought she's playing with her Nitendos DS in the room..
I went to check on her, when I found out that the room was locked!! I knock and call out to her but was not being answered..Nat heard me from her PC desk, have came to help calling her and knocking... We both started to panic after a few moments, and still silent from Mel..I was so panic that I kick and band at the door so loud but still to no avail...Searching for the door key was the last thing on my mind, as I dun know where is it.. I quickly grap a plier and hammer on to the door knop, after a few attempts the knop finally fall off but the door is still lock!!! Despite these commotion and loud noises, Mel still seem oblivious to what's happening!! I had a sudden dreadful feeling that I might see her in a bad shape, like she fainted or.....
We started to kick and band onto the door frantically until finally it flew open!!!! We dashed in and realised she is on her bed, just woke up and started to cry.....I started to cry too and was too glad that she's fine...Only when we all have calm down, that she told me she did hear us but was too tired to even answer or open the door for us!!!!
Now I have to replace a new door!!!

Nat's efforts
Phew!! Nat had finally got her report book back with flying colors again this year!! She managed to maintain the 2nd position as last year....I am so glad that her Chinese improved tremendously, but she had lose marks in her Math subject compared to last year....All because of careless mistakes!!!!Unacceptable careless mistakes like, copied figure wrongly to sum, careless counting on graph which lead to a few wrongs in questions related to the graph, etc....These caused her to lose 10 over marks in total!!!!! She said she was stuck at one difficult question and left her with no time but to rush thru the rest....Haiz..I guess only thru experience she will than learn how to cope with exam stress, to set priority on the time she spend on each question and work within the time limit set on each paper...Anyway, she has done well...Keep up the good work Naty!!
Melody's 5th birthday party at school
Mel celebrated her birthday at school on 10 Nov, but her actual birthday is on 25th Nov...Here she is dressed in her favorite princess BELLE costume and cake...
A day out at Fidgets
Nat and Mel with their new found friend
Nat enjoying her soup and white chocolate ice blended
(reasons behind the weight she put on!!)
Ted might have thought this is an Orange?

My Wish
Its been a while since I last blog...Being busy with Nat's exam and events that happen this month...By the way, today is my birthday, not to announce but to mark this day...For the pass 31 yrs, my life was considered a bliss.... I grown up in a happy family with loving parents, befriended wonderful people, got my ideal job, met my ideal man and build a happy family with 3 wonderful kids....Of course I do have my fair shares of down times which I chose to stash away, since its serve no purpose to dwell on and remember....The biggest challenge for me now is on nurturing my children...3 of them which is a handful for me, with untamable tantrums and insatiable demands....However frustration may be, its still an unconditional sacrifice... My only hope now is to live happily with my family and watch my children grows up to be a successful individual...

READ and PLAY
I had borrowed some dvd from my friend recently...And one of them is Johnny English starring Rowen Atkinson (Mr Bean)...Which is one of Mel's favourite idol, other than Jonas Brothers and Hannah Montana...When she saw his face on the dvd cover, she was so excited and urge me to play it for her to watch..
I tried to play it on our dvd player, but the player kept showing 'Err Disc' or 'Cant read Disc'...Instead of telling her the player or dvd is spoilt.....Which I should have done so to avoid this mind blowing conversation!!!
Mum : Ai ya the player cannot read the Disc lah...Mel I think you cant watch already, how?
Mel : Why cant read??? You mean the player dosent goes to school so he cant read???
Mum : NO......I mean the player cant Play the disc when I say Read, because you can also use Read to describe...
Mel : ............................???? (funny image must have form in her mind now!!)
I have got a hard time trying to explain READ in here meaning play....But surprisingly she can accept the word PLAY but not READ!!!!!! Maybe she's more rational as PLAY is what we usually says.....But I already pointed out that READ can be use to describe it too....Yet to her is like Why READ lay??? Why not only use PLAY lay??? After all these explanation, today she still is asking me... hahaha so funny hor mummy....why the player cannot read???? As if doubting me!!! Others says PLAY you say READ!!!!Arghhhhhhhh........Am I being lousy or what??
Yes, I do agreed that sometimes expression can be quite funny and hard to understand, but it can be frustrating when you try to explain it and be doubt by a 5 yrs old....I guess sometimes is good to just leave it as the more you say the more confusing they become....
Its never easy to teach children, as they are always full of 十万个为甚么......and they tends to point out small small details which differ to their understanding, in which you yourself never realise...

Mel's dressed up
Mel dress up as a fairy ballerina for her school children's day celebration...The wings and wand was passed down by Nat as she dressed up this way when she was in nursery too...Very useful ballet costume hahahaha so readily available...I came out with this ideal twice...Not only save on costume, I save on breaking my head to think too..hahahhaha.. However, I will be breaking my head again when its Ted's turn!!!!

Batam trip
At Harbour Front Terminal
On the Ferry
The Hotel Lobby
Their playground like so antique
Look at this, the building is half way into construction, yet the first floor already operating as a shopping mall!!! I guess it had been left undone for sometime...
Look at how the house is build on a hill with tiny steps leading up..Cute rite!!
At the kelong for seafood
Cousin Janis with Mel
Kampong house
This batam trip is quite interesting, as traveling with my family members....Other than shopping, we get to see their kampong lifestyle...Thou its nothing new to us but it never fail to amused me how different their life is from us...
I have to mention the wedding dinner of my Indonesian relative which we attended....Every guest is welcome to dedicate a song to the couple on stage, with Karaoke system readily for use...
Once you are on stage singing, guest and host will go up on stage to give ang bow to you....By the time you are finishing, your hands will be full of ang bows....Hahahaha what a way to earn back the ang bow you fork out for the dinner... Our Wedding dinner are full of chattering but theirs is loud chattering and 'ge tai' style!! We even have lousy singers who is only up to grab ang bows, really straining to our ears....
I do considered to go up stage to earn some shopping treats, but still cant buck up my courage in the end. Thou I am sure my singing will be so much better than most of them.....whahahahaha
A loud banner board announcing the wedding couples
See ang bow packet readily available for you to present to any singer that you want to give...( on the tissue box) And cans drinks and beer and wines all placed nicely on the table for you to help yourself...Free flow too, will be replenish....
See, everyone leave theirs seats to move on stage to give ang bow, including the wedding couple..
Although enjoyed, but once I step foot in Singapore...My stomach starts rumbling, in the middle of the night starts having diarrhea a dozens times with vomiting...The next morning, fever sets in and I was all weak and have to lie on bed for the whole day...Any food goes in must come out!! I have got food poisoning!!! Lucky is, I am the only one who got it, my kids and other family members are ok...Guess I am already weak, thats why cant take the blow of the bacteria attack....
Quote of the day
I was taking my medicine when Nat starts to comment..
Nat : Mummy why this medicine is call charcoal? The real charcoal that we use for BBQ?
Mum : Yap its charcoal, but this is a medicinal one..
Mel was all the while listening to our conversation, was too stun to speak...
When I put the 'charcoal' into my mouth, she start to ask with her eyes open wide..
Mel : Is it hot????
Mum and Nat : ...............................................................
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had prepared a bottle of Mentos yogurt bottle to take on the ferry, in case the gals got seasick...
As we returned to Sin, I received the sms stating that the Mentos yogurt is taken off shelves and not to be eaten...Naturally, I exclaimed to them about the sms and we had almost finished that bottle of Mentos... I went along explaining to the gals about the poisonous milk powder that almost kill a few babies in China...Mel was especially worried, thou I do explain if taken in moderation and at their age its still won't cause any serious harm..But I was not convincing enough, when I fall sick the next day.....
Mel looking so worried and ask..
Mel : Mummy will you be ok???
Mum : I am fine, just a little bit weak, after some rest I'll be fine..
Mel : You see la, the poisonous milk powder make you sick already....Anna (my maid) pls dun put the Milk maid inside me and che che milo ok!!! Remember har!! If we die how???
